Trees are a real inspirational source for many famous artists, especially for Impressionist and Post- Impressionist painters. Starting 1870, Impressionist painters contributed to a new conception on artistic creation as first step to modern art. Post-Impressionists went on this road, developing the spontaneity and the virtuosity of their predecessors. The predominant tendency was to achieve a single painting with a good balance between shape and color to relay aesthetic emotion and artistic sensibility.
