Gents Rolex “Air-King” Reference #5500, serial # 6,258,283. “1002” inside caseback. Rolex caliber 1520 (was 17 jewels but we replaced several bushings with jewels. The watch is now 24 jewels). Manufactured in Stainless steel case and bracelet with custom dial “Quarles Drilling Corp”.

As found, the watch had a broken spring bar, damaged bracelet endpiece and some poor previous repairs. It needed cleaned and worn bushings and other parts replaced.

The bracelet was sent to Rolex in Dallas on July 7, Once the bracelet is back on the watch, this will be a very desirable collectors item and a fine wear everyday watch. It is rare to find this model in this nice condition.

Your watch was rated on a timing computer and also run on a wear simulator for several weeks. Both on the timing machine and on the winder, it shows an exceptional accuracy.
