Company  ejector GmbH took over the business segment “CD-packaging” from Ehlebracht AG in March The exclusive licence agreements, the results of extensive product development, and the machinery were included in the deal. Approx m EUR were invested into the business.  In a state-of-the-art facility, located in Herford (Germany), ejector works with specialists whose priority is to meet each customers individual needs. We work one-on-one with the customer to develop every special request. The company currently has staff of 25. The products are produced, assembled and furnished with CDs/DVD‘s in 9 production lines.  Since its takeover, ejector has sold up to 4 m e-cases monthly. The production capacity amounts to 75 m units per year.

Product Advantages ejector keeps your products safe Handling is especially ergonomic. Finger pressure brings the disc which is suspended inside halfway out of the case. This method allows the user to remove the CD easily without touching the sensitive data surface. In particular, the bonding layer on DVDs is not subjected to any bonding stress! Drop tests from various heights in different temperature ranges revealed in virtually all cases that the medium was kept in place by the box. Comparative tests using conventional CD boxes of considerably more brittle plastic (e.g. Polystyrene) revealed significantly greater damage. It’s light, unbreakable, environmentally-friendly, extremely resistant and therefore great for mailing! Due to the material used the ejector case is lightweight, highly transparent and secure against damage. The e-case is made from the recently developed material metocene polypropylene which is highly progressive from an ecological point of view as the material is 100% recyclable. Even extreme temperatures did not particularly impair box operation. However, the case should not be used at temperatures in excess of 60°C since this would cause plastic deformation.
