DHCP Server Set Up

DHCP Freeware ‘HaneWIN’ Available from http://www.hanewin.de/dhcp-e/htm This freeware DHCP allows to set a basic DHCP server configurable to support the DECT solution supported from V3.1 IP Office When installed, copy the DECT TFTP file into the working directory. The DECT file is uploaded to all RFP basestations. The file is called omm_avaya.tftp (copy toC:\Program Files\dhcp) DECT CCFP requires mandatory Public Address 224 and 226 configured on the DHCP Server The following slides explain how to configure this freeware

HaneWIN DHCP (Configured)

When Installed, click on the Static ICON on the right hand side of the toolbar. Click on ‘NEW’ button (as seen on the previous slide – bottom left) Enter the MAC address of the RFP (MAC-nr on the RFP Label) Enter the IP Address to be allocated to the device. Enter an Optional Name and Remark. Ensure the Redundant Entry check box is Unchecked. After creating a new static entry, it will prompt to Create a new profile named as ‘……….’ (Your chosen naming convention previously entered)

Configure the Basic Profile Tab After creating a new static entry, it will prompt to Create a new profile named as ‘……….’ (Your chosen naming convention previously entered) Configure the Static range available to the device Configure the Lease Time Configure the Sub-Net Mask Configure the Gateway Address (IP Office address)

Prerequisites Prior to logging on, ensure you have obtained the correct RFP license required to program the RFP Licenses support 1 x RFP 2 x RFP 3 – 5 x RFP 5+ RFP (Max 32 RFP operational with IP Office The IP Office also requires the DECT license to support operation. Avaya DECT Mobility Manager (ADMM) acts as a HTML server allowing the browser to log in and configure Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 required ADMM supports three launguages only – English, German, Italian.

Licensing Enter the MAC address of up to Three RFP Up to Three can be entered for resilience in case of RFP failure.

Enter the Licensing option Click on the ‘New’ button within the 1st Step serial number and enter the RFP MAC address. This will generate the Serial Number Click on the ‘New’ button within the 3rd Step License Enter the License supplied. The license is 25 characters long When entered and accepted by the RFP, note the PARK number of the system. This will be required later, and should be included with the Serial number and License for maintenance activity.

Click on the System option, and then open System Settings Enter a System Name Enter an Authentication Code (AC) IF REQUIRED when PP handsets subscribe. Note this with the Serial number and PARK as advised from previous slide. DECT Monitor should be checked when running Dectmoni_ip.exe in maintenance activity only as operational resource is taken from the RFP. Enter the SysLog server IP Address and correct port number for logging activity (Requires Sys Log executable such as Kiwi Syslogd.exe or loglady.exe) Set the Date and Time. Date and Time is only shown to OP27 handsets. However this should be set as to assist maintenance captures. Set the IP Region appropriately. Click on the Spanner icon to open the IP Region configuration box IP Region represents the part of the network where the RFP is located. IP regions follow the topology of the IP Network. IP Regions are intended for ACM switches allowing the ACM to select the codec. At least one IP Trunk has to be configured to an IP Region, therefore for IP Office connections only one IP Region should be associated as the CODEC selection is done on IP Office programming. During license validation one IP Region is created automatically. IP Regions provide the RTP port base, DiffServe and VLAN priority, Time Zone. ARS Prefix could be added if required. Core Total test cases Tests completed Tests blocked Acceptance Tests 102 102 0 Hunt Group & User Merge 149 77 0 Remote Upgrade 80 38 23 Removal IP403 restrictions 12 0 0 % Complete Integral CSU support 30 Pre-Trial Regression 10 Wizard % Complete Localisation 75 US Wizard Testing ?? Mental Models will work with test, scheduled until 12 March 2004, with knowledge transfer.

Select Radio Fixed Part The MAC address will be seen associated to the RFP Enter the IP Region (For IP Office Installations there should only be 1 region created) Set a Cluster number. Note: -Handovers cannot connect between clusters Act as a Master during startup should only be checked to 1 master RFP. The Active and Synchronous green checks will show the status of the RFP Further RFPs can be added by clicking on the New button. CAUTION: - Be aware that if an RFP is added over the licensed maximum amount, the license will be invalidated and the media streams will be blocked after 30 seconds.

Configure IP Trunks IP Trunk defines a communication relationship between the ADMM and IP Office for mobile signalling. Click on the spanner icon to administer the IP Trunk settings. The ADMM (Avaya DECT Mobility Manager) should be set to 1720 The CS IP address is always the IP Office IP address. The IP Region should be set appropriately to the number created previously.

Select Portable Parts (handsets) Click on New Enter details of the portable handset 20DT for registering KIRK handsets to receive integration messaging from IP Office WT 9640 for OP 26 and OP27 to receive integration messaging from IP Office GAP for all other GAP compliant PP’s Note : - This will not deliver the IP Office messaging or VM message updates. Click on Subscribe to change the permission of the RFP Master to allow subscription to the system. The Name and Number must match the same programming on the IP Office User name and VoIP number created when creating the DECT user details.

Select System Features Configuring the voicemail access and other IP Office supported features through DECT portables is done programming the Voicemail and MSSF options Digit Treatment allows the RFP to process number strings within itself. This should be avoided as the IP Office should be configured within Short Codes for digit analysis.

Enter the Shortcode associated to Voicemail access as programmed on IP Office

Check the Active Features required supported through the OP26 and OP27 handsets. The shortcode must match the IP Office programmed shortcode.

The IP Office internal and external Directory should be set to TFTP The files : - nasystem/user_list7 and Nasystem/dir_list are coded and should not be renamed. These files created are located within the IP Office and are TFTP updated to the RFP. The updates are configurable and defaulted to every 24 hours. The Server Name is the IP Address of the IP Office. This name MUST be exact in the spelling and naming convention used on the IPO. Port 69 should remain and not be changed.

Portable Parts (DECT Mobile Handsets) Registering a PP requires the IPEI to be added to the configuration. IPEI (International Portable Equipment Identifier) can be found on the OP 26 and OP 27 by navigating the up down arrow key to the ‘System’ option. Scroll using the up/down arrow key to IPEI. Press OK and the IPEI number is shown. OP 26 and OP 27 example IPEI 0081006187822 The DT 20 IPEI can be found by removing the battery cover and it is printed on a label behind the battery. DT 20 example 00077 00101234 5 When subscribing the PPs you must ensure the RFP/CCFP is set to Subscribe ‘yes’ When Subscribing a PP the PARK number is required of the RFP/CCFP. Enter the Park number as noted from the programming set up. When subscribing the PP the AC code must be entered if one has been set on RFP administration. Note : -All RFPs by default have the subscription turned off. This is a security feature compliancy to DECT CCFP. It is commonly found PPs cannot subscribe as the subscribe option is turned off !!

If the IP Office and the ADMM have been set up and programmed successfully calls should now be allowed RFP can handle 8 simultaneous connections If all 8 channels are allocated the RFP can force handovers if other PPs request handover to that RFP RFPs need to be located to allow a handover that can take up to 10 seconds to complete successfully. Therefore overlaps should be 10 meters within signal coverage. All RFPs need overlap to synchronise. IP Office supports a maximum of 32 RFP devices and a maximum of 120 PP utilising Direct Media Non Direct Media calls to PPs limited to VCM channels fitted to IP Office. VCM MUST be fitted to IP Office supporting ADMM PPs
