Fear of Lack Grip of Greed Trust in God

1. TRUST THAT THE FATHER WILL PROVIDE FOR YOU

a) Stop Worrying

‘“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they

do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”’ Matthew 6:25-27 NIV

b) Start Praying

‘Give us this day our daily bread’ Matthew 6:11 ESV

‘“Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,

how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”’ Matthew 7:9-11 NIV

2. TRUST THAT THE FATHER WILL REWARD YOU

a) Put Him First

‘“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”’ Matthew 6:33 ESV

b) Give to the Needy

‘“…your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”’ Matthew 6:4b NIV

c) Invest for Eternity

‘“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves

do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”’ Matthew 6:19-21 NIV
