What is Special About Reefs? (what resources do you get?) You can obtain many resources from the ocean, like you can get iron, copper, cobalt, and you can also obtain crude oil by drilling through the ground of the deep sea. One of the major scientific discoveries was the scuba tanks. They were first made to see what lives underwater, and to get a better view of it. How do people Help or Damage it? People started damaging the beautiful reefs by polluting the waters by throwing their junk into the water! Many animals are dying from this. There are rules made now that polluting is against the law. It affected it by carrying oil, and causing oil spills. How do natural causes affect the Reef? It affects them by feeding them with fish and selling the miscellaneous things that come with the fish, it feeds them and it gets them money. But the fish get extinct because they get caught too often and eaten. Some sharks are in danger, they are in danger because of the famous shark fin soup, it is not worth I life of an innocent shark. They also get affected by global warming. The water gets too hot and the icebergs melt down.

How does economics and industries affect the reefs? The reefs get affected by industries because they pollute the waters. They do care about the water and our environment, but they do it for the money. The humans think money is more important than anything. They dump their wastes into the water. And sometimes when they dump toxic wastes, it might even start an acid rain! The reefs get affected by industries because they pollute the waters.
