The Red Cross helps thousands of U.S. service members separated from their families by helping them stay connected with a global network of 186 national societies. An average of 91 cents of every dollar the Red Cross spends is invested in humanitarian services and programs.

The Red Cross responds to disasters ranging from a single-family home fire to large-scale disasters like hurricanes and tornadoes. They provide food, shelter, relief supplies, emotional support and health related services to address basic human needs.
