 The first European to explore the area that is now Mississippi was Spaniard Hernando De Soto in  De Soto and others were looking for gold.  Finding more in the area they left and did not return.  The Mississippi river had a big flood

 On the north side of Mississippi is Tennessee sir arousing,Mississippi.  On the east side of Mississippi is Alabama and on the west side of Mississippi is Arkansas and Louisiana.  The highest mountain is Woodall mountain.

 It is 806 feet above sea level.  The land is 47,716 square miles and 123,583 square kilomters.  The shape of Mississippi came from the ever – changing Mississippi River.  The larder has lcope, curbcuesand paints.
