Facts About Arizona Arizona's the sixth-largest state in the country covering, 114,006 square miles. Arizona's also is one of the Southwestern states. The Grand Canyon is located here.

Three Natural Resources Mining And Minerals- Arizona is the nation’s major supplier of copper. The copper comes from both open pit and underground mines. Most of the copper comes from San Manuel, Tucson, Morenci, Globe, Miami, and the Ray pit in Pinal Country.

Continued Agriculture- Arizona has about eight thousand farms. About seventy-five percent of the states total land area is used for grazing herds of cattle and sheep.

Continued Manufacturing And Technology- Sixteen percent of Arizona’s gross state product comes from manufacturing. There are more then 3,200 manufacturing plants in the state.

State Symbols State Bird- The state bird is the Cactus Wren. Its seven to eight inches long and likes to build nests in the protection of thorny desert plants like the arms of the giant saguaro cactus.

Continued State Tree- The state tree is the Paloverde, Loose clusters of bright yellow flowers with 5 lobes. State Flower- The state flower is the Saguaro Cactus Blossom, The saguaro cactus typically blooms in May and June.

Major Attractions The Grand Canyon is a major attraction because its just beautiful. The Hoover Dam would be one too, The Hoover Dam is located 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas. Hoover Dam Grand Canyon

Major Attraction The Saguaro National Park is also a major attraction its a great place to experience the desert landscape around Tucson and see the famous saguaro cacti up close.

Brief Geography Northern Arizona lies on the Colorado Plateau, an area of dry plains. Arizona shares land borders with Utah to the north, the Mexican state of Sonora the south, New Mexico to the east, and Nevada to the west.
