When Cats Act Like Pit bulls By: Mariah Biddle

About four years ago, a kitten was born. It went to a foster home with other cats. It was a male cat, he got moved around to different Animalsmart stores.

His name is Simon, and he had a sister. Now there was this family, the father’s name was Ed, the mother’s name was Kay, and a they had a teenager named Riah. This family had lost two cats. They were determined to get another one, so they walked into the Cranberry Township Animalsmart.

As they went into the store, Riah hurried over to the cat and kitten adoption center. Her parents were right behind her.

Ed went to look at the kittens with Riah, while Kay went to look at magazines and books. Ed looked at Riah and said, “Hey that one looks like Stuffie.”

Riah looked at the cat and said, “Yeah, it does.” So she called her mother over and asked, “Mom doesn’t that look like Tuffer?” Kay went into the room and started to pet the kitten.

Ed went and got an attendant and asked if they could hold Simon. The family really wanted to adopt him and holding Simon would help their decision. So, the attendant locked the main door and opened the cage that went Creek. Ed, Kay and Riah got to hold and pet Simon.

About a week later, they got to take Simon home. The family brought Simon into the house, opened the carrier door--- Squeak, and he ran behind furniture.

After a year, Simon got used to the family and the house. He was happy that he got to see the family put up the Christmas tree.

The following year, Simon starts to attack Ed. Simon grabbed his legs in the morning then he would go back for more. Ed picked Simon up and held him, but Simon got mad.

Simon latched on to Ed’s arm, bit him and did not let go. Then Ed would put Simon down and he would turn around and attack. “Will this ever end?” Now, Simon doesn’t bite or attack Ed all the time. So in a way he has changed a little bit.
