Lo-Fi Prototype StyleEye UW CSE 440 Main Navigation # of Results for a Search

Scenario 1 (image search) StyleEye UW CSE Walking down the street and you see an orange design you really like - Use StyleEye to request a clothing item that matches this style

Scenario 2 (non-image search) StyleEye UW CSE You are going to a sweater party - You want a sweater from the “BlueBean” brand, snowflake pattern on the front, 100% cotton, a size medium, and costs no more than $30

Scenario 3 (fulfilling a request) StyleEye UW CSE 440 -You a turk, imagine that you know about a website that has a wide selection of orange shirts. - With this knowledge, try to fulfill a request given by a StyleEye user

Experimental Method StyleEye UW CSE 440 Our Participants 2 males & 2 females Focused on demographic Fashion ‘conscious’ & fashion ‘passive’ for each gender Each participant filled out a questionnaire Environment Quiet, isolated meeting room Roles One facilitator One computer Two observers

Experimental Results Conclusions StyleEye UW CSE 440 Highlights & Positive Feedback Search by image had very few errors Retrieving results was an easily completed process New design for submission page led to better user experience

Experimental Results Conclusions StyleEye UW CSE 440 Task 2 is the hardest task for users to complete

Experimental Results Conclusions StyleEye UW CSE 440 The functionality of some buttons was not obvious to users Main Navigation # of Results Badge
