Coughs and Sneezes Spread Diseases!

Click on the picture below: Click on this icon to make full screen video! Watch the clip together! And then return to this PowerPoint presentation Although almost 65 years old the clip is as relevant today as it was in 1945.

Coughs and Sneezes Spread Diseases! The recent cases of flu in Mexico has the potential to spread worldwide due to the high numbers of people travelling from country to country. Although the government and health services will watch the situation carefully and have stockpiled anti- viral drugs (ones that combat flu) there are some VERY SIMPLE things that we can ALL do:

Coughs and Sneezes Spread Diseases! Use a handkerchief or tissue to sneeze into. When we have finished with a handkerchief it needs to be disinfected and washed. Tissues should not be put in the bin but flushed away! Wash your hands REGULARLY, not just after using the toilet. Anti-bacterial hand washes can also be purchased and used easily without using water! NOTE: when washing hands with soap and water sing two verses of ‘Happy Birthday to you’ in your head!

Coughs and Sneezes Spread Diseases! AVOID: Shaking hands, kissing and hugging! DO: Pass on this advice to friends and family! THANK YOU!
