  The disease that I have is called Rheumatic Fever. Rheumatic fever is a dangerous disease that can develop as a complication of untreated strep throat. Strep throat is caused by an infection with group A streptococcus bacteria. Rheumatic fever can cause permanent damage to the heart. The Disease That I Have

  When I was in the jungle working with the famous biologist, one of the kids from the local school gave me Strep Throat. The doctor told me that Strep Throat comes from group A Streptococcus. Streptococcus is a type of bacteria that can be harmful to your body. It is also the disease that starts Strep Throat. After leaving my Strep untreated for 2 weeks, I came down with Rheumatic Fever. How I got The Disease

  This disease affects my body in many different ways. It gave me a 103 degree fever. It gave me lots of chest and throat pain. I also had painful and tender joints throughout the day. It also gave me a painless rash all over my body. How It Affects My Body

  The doctor did suggest some things for me to get so my disease would go away. He suggested that I get some Penicillin to take at home. Penicillin eliminates any remaining strep bacteria that may exist in my body. He also said that I get some Aspirin to reduce the inflammation, fever, and pain. He said that I will need to take another course of antibiotics, after the full antibiotic treatment of Penicillin, to prevent the recurrence of Rheumatic Fever, which I will take until I am 20 years old. Treatments Available For My Disease

  My life is back to normal now since I fought that disease. It was just a little hard taking the last of those antibiotics until I was 20 years old. But other than that, my life is great, for now. How I Live My Life After The Disease

 Labeled Diagram Of The Body System: Rheumatic Fever Rheumatic Fever relates to the body by mainly affecting the Cardio-Vascular and Respiratory systems if untreated. These body systems are affected by the damaging of the heart valves leading to congestive heart failure. Congestive heart failure means when your heart can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs.
