Presentation transcript:

My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8) HUMAN WISDOM Seeing is believing. Always look out for Number One. A penny saved is a penny earned. DIVINE WISDOM We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18) Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4) Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together & running over, will be poured into your lap. (Luke 6:38)

My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8) HUMAN WISDOM It is important to focus on building self-esteem. If it feels good, do it. You have to climb over people to get to the top. DIVINE WISDOM Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. (Philippians 2:3) Do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence; serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13) Whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first must be your slave. (Matthew 20:26, 27)

My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8) HUMAN WISDOM Your desires are natural; it is unhealthy to suppress them. Believe in yourself. It is your life, you have the right to live the way you want. Assert yourself: stand up for your rights! DIVINE WISDOM If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.(Matthew 5:30) Without Christ you can do nothing.(John 15:5) You are not your own, for you were bought with a price; so glorify God. (1 Corinthians 6:19, 20) Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow me. (Mark 8:34)

My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8) HUMAN WISDOM Look within for direction, and follow your heart. Safety first! Be true to yourself. DIVINE WISDOM Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Christ will find it. (Matthew 16:25) Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. (Colossians 3:10)
