He had beheld the glory of the Lord - He had heard the Lord's Commission – His response --- Here am I send me! Isaiah was CONSUMED! Consumption (verse 8)

Paul like Isaiah had encountered the love of Jesus, he had beheld His beauty, experienced His forgiveness - now he could not help himself - he had to give His life for the purpose of bringing glory to the Lord. Compels literally means “It leaves me no choice.”
