 Hezekiah had fallen ill and almost died  The prophet Isaiah went to see him  Hezekiah had always longed to know the will of God  Isaiah told Hezekiah, “The Lord tells you that you are to put everything in order, because you will not recover. What did Hezekiah say to that?  Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed.  As Isaiah was leaving the king, and before he could leave the central courtyard of the palace, the Lord told him to go back to Hezekiah and tell him that, “I have heard your prayer…I will let you live 15 more years.  When Hezekiah saw Isaiah coming back, he first thought that the Lord was displeased with his weeping through his prayers.  However, when he heard the news, he rejoiced.  They asked Isaiah, “What shall we do to the King? Shall we bring doctors?”  But Isaiah said, “The Lord will perform a miracle. Doctors cannot heal them. He got well and the happiness in the kingdom increased.  The news was fulfilled.
