How Do You Describe God? God is love. 1 Jn. 4:8 God is faithful. 1 Cor. 1:9 God is merciful, gracious and righteous. Psa. 116:5 God is wise and powerful. Job 9:4 God is forgiving. Jer. 31:34

Same Descriptions for Man Man displays the same abilities and characteristics of God. This is because man – unlike any other of God’s creations – are created “in His image.” Gen. 1:26

Three Ways The Bible Reveals God’s Holiness

God Doesn’t Sin (Man Does) Even when all was perfect, man used His God-given freedom to “choose”, man sinned. Gen. 3:1-6 Nothing has changed through the billions who have come and gone. Rom. 3:9-10, 23 Because God does not sin, He is separated from man who does: thus His name. Lk. 1:49

God’s Holy In What He Does
