Liberation

Jesus’ Mission The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, To proclaim freedom for the prisoners And recovery of sight for the blind, To set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favour. (Luke 4 v 18-19, NIV)

Liberation-Comfort Good news to the poor...the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, (Luke 4:18) ‘I have compassion on these people...’ (Mark8:2)

Liberation - Deliverance A change of life ‘He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, To proclaim freedom for the prisoners’ (Luke 4:18) I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ (Matt 25:36)
