2 Migrant Education Goals: The goal of the Migrant Education Program is to ensure that all migrant students reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma (or complete a GED) that prepares them for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment.

3 About the National Migrant Education Program (MEP): Migrant Education is a National Program created in the 1960 ’ s to fight Lyndon Johnson ’ s “ war on poverty ”. 4 About the Vermont Migrant Education Program The VT Department of Education runs the program and provides “ supplemental ” educational services.
