GCI Research Activity Stefano Nativi, Mattia Santoro

EO Data: Including Data-CORE pledges Applications: Web and PC Services: Catalog, Access, Processing e.g. IDN, CSW,WCS, WMS, OpenDAP, FTP Inventory Access: e.g. Landsat, FedEO, CBERS, NASA ECHO, NOAA CLASS, SeaDataNet, GEONETCast GCI: a brokering framework

GEO Discovery and Access Broker Discover resources: Brokers several catalogue services with differing vocabulary and offers results through a catalogue service –CSW, OpenSearch -Geo, OAI-PMH, … Access resources: Brokers access services to provide data according to a common grid environment for facilitating its use –WMS, WFS, WCS, DAP, …

Overview Topics: A.Test new client/server interoperability with GEO DAB Provide client/application components, tools, and services Provide new capacities and datasets to be brokered B.Support the GEO Discovery & Access Broker New functionality and capabilities

Client/server interoperability with GEO DAB (Discovery) New services tested and brokered: –TUD-GLUES THREDDS Data Server (159 resources) –TUD-GLUES Web Processing Service (179 resources) –MINES Paris Tech Web Service energy (49, 9 GEOSS Data Core) –Compusult Catalog Service ( resources) –Compusult Catalog Client, tests are ongoing WPS CSW/ISO Data Core CSW/ISOCSW Core CSW/ISO

Client/server interoperability with GEO DAB (Access) New services tested and brokered: –TUD-GLUES THREDDS Data Server/OPeNDAP –Pyxis WorldView Client WMS Access Broker WMS Access Broker WCS

New functionalities and capabilities: Queryables Extension Support of a new queryeable element in the Discovery Broker: Access Protocol Queryable –It allows client applications to retrieve only datasets which are accessible through a particular access service type Tested with NOAA and presently used by OneGeology operational portal.

New functionalities and capabilities: Helper Applications Helper Application Support –A Helper Application is a client application which is able to handle a dataset provided through: One or more web service protocols One or more encoding formats –The GEO DAB enriches providers’ original metadata records with the needed information to access the data with one or more Helper Applications.

New functionalities and capabilities: Helper Applications Generic Helper Applications Provider Recommended Helper Applications
