مكتبـــة الملـك عبد العزيز العـامــة King Abdulaziz public library  King Abdulaziz Public Library (KAPL) was founded by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 1985 as unprofitable institution.  KAPL going beyond the traditional concept of the library, primarily concerned with human being and the development aspects of the intellectual, on our culture and heritage.

KAPL has implemented several projects such as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Award for Translation, the project of Arabic Union Catalogue (AUC), Encyclopedia of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the National Cultural Project for revival of Reading.

Any library can participate in the AUC, and search in its master bibliographic database. Recently, we launched new services that allow the public to have a free access to AUC. Also, we launched gates for libraries in each Arab country.
