Overview: Course Content The course will include a review of basic psychological theories as they pertain to exercise. Particular emphasis will be placed on adherence, goal setting, motivation, & communication. You will be expected to work through all the assignments, according to the given schedule.
Overview: Goals As part of the Fitness Specialist Certificate Program, this course is designed to help prepare the student to work as a specialist in the fitness arena.
Learning Outcomes At the conclusion of the course, students will have the skills & insights necessary to successfully interact with potential clients. They will be able to apply psychological principles in the exercise arena in order to maximize client benefits. They will feel confident in their ability to problem solve and design individualized programs, geared to the needs of the individual, & based upon psychological principles.
