Optibelt Presentation Comparing Optibelt V-Belt Production to a lesser quality V-Belt

Optibelt Production Optibelt uses select raw materials to specific quality standards. These standards are upheld by stringent SPC testing. Optibelt is a full line power transmission belt manufacturer. Testing of Optibelt products vs. the low cost producers shows that an Optibelt will last 2.5 to 10 times longer.

Optibelt vs. Others Cord application in S=C plus products is far superior with Optibelt's individually wound concept. Tension predictability from belt to belt is far superior with Optibelt, due to the fact that each belt receives exactly the same amount of cord. Optibelt’s Rotary Vulcanization process is superior due to the fact that the belts are vulcanized in the same grooves dimensions as the sheaves.

Optibelt Wrapping Production Base fabric is high quality cotton fabric with high thread counts and lower gauge. Fabric is calendared to insure full rubber impregnation. Lower cost producers use lower thread density fabric and higher gauge threads. Lower cost producers spread coat their fabric which does not yield full impregnation.

Optibelt Patented ORV Process The following slides summarizes Optibelt’s patented S=C Plus production process allowing for the tightest tolerance for length (best for matched sets) and cross section dimensions. This process will also yield the smoothest running belt available anywhere. Lower cost producers do not come close as they use ring molds and/or presses.

Why an Optibelt V-Belt is the best V-belt in the WORLD!!!!!!!! Optibelt Corporation Why an Optibelt V-Belt is the best V-belt in the WORLD!!!!!!!!

Raw Material Processing SPC Testing before processing. On line testing during processing. Post processing SPC testing. All phases together is complete SPC control that insures product uniformity.

Raw Material Processing

Cord Processing Highest available grade low stretch Polyester Each cord is chemically treated to improve bonding Each cord is pulled through extruder to insure full coverage prior to winding.

Cord Processing Rubber coating is uniform Eliminates chaffing Forms a single piece prior to vulcanization

Base Rubber Extrusion Single Piece Eliminates Air Pockets Uniform Cross Section Controlled Length Eliminates Scrap

Belt Wrapping Rolls of high quality fabric are chemically treated for better rubber adhesion Calendared to insure full impregnation Biased cut for better friction properties during operation.

Belt Assembly Each belt is made one at a time All assembled pieces are subject to on line inspection Eliminates scrap A level of craftsmanship is introduced into the belt making process

Completed V-Belt
