EXPLORE June through mid-September – MSPE preparation (CV, personal statement, unique characteristics, interview with Deans) – ERAS application prep. & document submission ERAS – Ophthalmology (SF Match - CAS) – Urology (AUA and ERAS) – Military Match (contact service branch and ERAS)
DECIDE Mid-June – Register ERAS token (received via June 13 th ) Register – Register at AUA or CAS for Urology/Ophthalmology – Contact branch of service for Military residency application process. (Also register in ERAS) July – Explore programs – Obtain Letters of Recommendation – Upload photo
SUCEED August – Complete application – Proof MSPE – Monitor fourth-year grades – Decide on programs – Decide when to take Step 2
SUCEED September – Certify and submit application – Sept. 15 th - Apply to programs – Medical School Transcript released to programs – USMLE Transcript released to programs (Step score(s)) October 1st – MSPE released to programs – Begin to monitor phone and closely (ERAS messages and personal s) – Prepare for interviews (financial aid, logistics, CVs, thank you cards, professional clothing, etc.) – Register at NRMP (avoid late fee, register by Nov. 30th)NRMP
