The IRIS/UiS study of Stavanger2008 I.Principal project based on surveys among citizens in 2007 and 2009 (and comparisons with nation-wide surveys and earlier surveys in Stavanger area) –To what extent, and how, do the inhabitants of the region get involved and participate in the Capital of Culture events? –How does the Capital of Culture year affect participation in and attitudes towards cultural life in general? –How are the values and opinions of the population affected by the Capital of Culture events and the vision and values of Stavanger2008?
