Progression to Yr 13 No January exams AS exams start in May A grade D is needed at AS to guarantee progression to A2 Satisfactory completion of Year 12 BTEC modules to progress onto second year BTEC A2 study / Yr 13 effectively begins in June Students are required to attend ALL lessons (including subjects they are planning to drop)

Target Grades All students are given a Minimum Target Grade (MTG) This is generated from the APS of delated GCSE subjects All students should have been given these in lessons – or will do in the next few days.

Pastoral Programme Sixth form students register in form groups EVERY Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Monday and Tuesday are admin/self study/mentoring sessions Wednesday registration followed by pastoral session (20/40mins) and/or year group briefing Pastoral session covers essential skills and attributes to gain most out of sixth form:

Student contact Employers Agree dates/nature of placement (Second side of application form prompts this discussion) Thursday afternoon onwards is available each week. Other times by negotiation Student completes both sides of application form, parents sign declaration. Return completed form Karen Booth, Sixth Form Student Support Coordinator.
