2 Maranan ga in the Barossa Valley The small rural community of Marananga lies in the north- western area of the Barossa Valley in South Australia. This area, consisting of only a small number of vineyard holdings and particularly the vineyards on Roennfeldt Road, is internationally recognised for producing the deeply coloured red wines, abundant structure and great natural balance.

3 Roennfeldt Road, Marananga  Schubert Estate is located on Roennfeldt Road, Marananga in the Barossa Valley, an area highly regarded for its vineyards.  Roennfeldt Road’s ‘Terroir’ shows such great substance and command that its intrinsic worth merits single vineyard bottlings such as Two Hands Zippy’s Block, Greenock Creek’s Roennfeldt Road, Torbreck’s Descendant and Schubert Estate’s Goose-yard Block.

4 The Schubert holdings began in the early 1900s when a Schubert family settled on Roennfeldt Road. Steve Schubert bought Arthur Schubert’s 65-acre property in the early 1980s, and began replanting the vineyards with a clear intention of working with, rather than against, nature; planting the land in proportion of approximately half vineyards and half South Australian native trees, grasses and shrubs – this to ensure a natural corridor for wildlife and a pleasant vista. Roennfeldt Road, Marananga, Barossa Valley
