Presentation transcript:

These are our recommendations and the reasons why we decided on them.

Give us more option/choice Students become more involved in education and their future. Extends our thinking and frames of mind.

Teach us less content Evidence from thinking reading that teachers tend to do the thinking for students. Students don’t learn as well when the teachers trying to teach them too much in a lesson.

Challenge Us To extend ourselves and get our brains working. So the students persevere and see what they can do.

Keep it Fresh !! Students get bored doing the same thing over and over again. But review the old stuff so we remember what we’ve already learnt. Don’t go into lots of detail about it.

Practise Thinking So we know how to use the different types of thinking. And can use the different types of thinking in different situations.

Teachers and students should know about types of thinking. The core knowledge would be; names, description, slogans/recognise each type. So that when teachers ask students to use a certain type of thinking the student would be able to remember either a slogan or description about that type and they would be able to use it. The students/teachers would be asked for a description of a certain type of thinking and would be able to give one.
