Olympic torch relay communities The torch will pass through 1,019 communities in the UK,during the torch relay. The Olympic flame will come with in 10 miles of 95% of people in the UK, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey. The torch is coming to Inverness on the 9 th of June 2012 and the torch is coming to Edinburgh on the 13 th of June 2012.

Some of the torch bearers are Amy James, Andrew bell, Andy Ferris, Barry Symons, Becky cross, bob bowman, Chris jones and Densie may these are only some of the torchbearers. There are going to be more than 1000 torch bearers. Torch bearers will carry the flame through more than 1000 cities towns and villages in the UK!!!!!

Olympic torch relay facts The Olympic torch relay will help shine light on the whole of the UK for dynamic urban areas to places of outstanding natural Beauty. It’s a 70 day relay. It starts at west minister and finishes at Westminster.

Paralympic torch relay facts There is 580 Paralympic Torchbearers The flame will be carried from the Stoke Mandeville Stadium by 580 torchbearers in teams of 5 to the Olympic Stadium where the cauldron will be lit to herald the start of the games on the evening of 29 th of August. 3 of the torchbearers are Bryony Cox, Tim Smith, and Erica Kowassi. Over 3,500 people across the UK have been nominated to carry the Paralympic Flame. The paralympic torch relay will be a six day event that will begin on the 24 th of august with the London flame lighting event
