THE SATHYA SAI REHABILITATION PROGRAMME(SRP) WAS STARTED IN KERALA IN SEPT 2009 FOR THE FOLLOW UP, MONITORING AND SEVA OF THE CARDIAC PATIENTS WHOSE HEARTS WERE TOUCHED BY OUR SWAMY BY HIS LOVE AS WELL AS HIS SURGEON’S KNIFE

THE ADMINISTRATIVE SET UP IN THE SSSS ORGANIZATION FOR THIS PROGRAMME STATE CO ORDINATOR (SRP) Joint co ordinators 2 district co ordinators Dist: Medical officers/Cardiologists Trained active workers one for each samithy(ideal)

TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR ACTIVE WORKERS Twice a year--- zonal level,, 9 AM to 4 PM Syllabus 1)- History of SAI Health Mission 2)- Mind of a Seva-Dal member, how it should be- ----SRP as an extension of SSSIHMS 3)—General knowledge about common heart problems & meaning of different terminologies used in the discharge summary of patients 4)– Administrative work, reporting, record maintanance 5)– Basics of counseling, house visits, WHAT NOT TO DO & SAY 6)– SHARING OF EXPERIENCES BY DIST CO ORDINATORS

Both SSSIHMS have been given pamphlets in Malayalam, Explaining what patients should do immediately after reaching home With Phone numbers of the state co ordinator & Dist co ordinators From Prasanthigram SSSIHMS, the proforma for follow up is sent To the state co ordinator. State co ordinator sends these to the respective Dist c.o. s From whitefield SSSIHMS, the proforma for follow up is given To the patient,,, A list is sent to the State co ordinator

The Dist co ordinator takes the patients once in three months,, three times to the Dist Med Officer (SRP) usually a cardiologist The proforma is filled and a copy sent to the concerned SSSIHMS after each such Check up At the end of three such visits the original proforma is sent back to the Concerned SSSIHMS

House visits form a very important part of this programme

The District Co ordinator SRP or the active worker re gularly Visit the houses of the patients and discuss matters of health, Life style and habits. They also asses the health status of the patient

HRIDAYA SANGAMAM ( CONFLUENCE OF HEARTS) All those who have completeted their initial check ups Take part in a get together at dist level, ONCE IN SIX MONTHS -Meet each other Share experiences Have some fun Have a check up Listen to the counselor Have refreshments together Pray together )

ONCE A YEAR DURING ONAM CELEBRATIONS ALL THE PATIENTS HAVE THEIR HRIDAYASANGAMAM AT THEIR SAVIOUR’S ABODE Two of them are given an opportunity to speak in the Sai Kulwant Hall, each year
