8 Amtrak’s Vision for the Northeast Corridor PRIIA 305 Annual General Meeting – June 14 th,  Global event organized by UIC and APTA with support from Amtrak, AAR, FRA, and VIA Rail Canada  Amtrak is hosting a welcome reception at 30th Street Station, as well as tours of its HSR mechanical facility in Sunnyside, NY and its dispatching and training centers in Wilmington, DE.  Expect up to 1,000 worldwide attendees to exchange views on development and achievements of high-speed rail  Will include internationally selected speakers, a trade exhibition, technical tours and networking activities  Amtrak and APTA are looking for student volunteers to help staff the congress.  UIC 8 th World Congress on HSR – Philadelphia 2012
