The US 101 Mobility Study will -  Examine current and future conditions, identify key deficiency areas and propose multi-modal improvement packages along the US 101 Corridor.  Evaluate the performance of the multi-modal improvement packages using appropriate performance measures.  With stakeholder and public involvement, establish regional priorities for multi-modal improvements for the US 101 Corridor in San Luis Obispo County.  Establish regional funding priorities that meets the needs of SLOCOG, the local agencies, and Caltrans.

Project Area  The US 101 Corridor - as defined for this study - includes:  the US 101 mainline and interchanges;  interface with local service roads; parallel frontage roads or other roadways that serve as viable alternatives to US 101;  transit facilities such as park-and-ride lots;  and, bicycle and pedestrian network connections.
