ERASMUS MUNDUS ACTION 2 – SMART 2 SMARTCITIES AND SMARTGRIDS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPEMENT

1- What is the EM-SMART 2 programme? The EM-SMART 2 programme is a partnership of European, Brazilian Higher Education Institutions. The project is financed by the European Commission and aimed at:  Promoting the mobility of students, researchers, academic and administrative staff  Developing excellence in research and its management;  Enhancing international cooperation between sending and hosting institutions;  Sharing of knowledge, know-how and good practices;  Promoting transparency and recognition of studies and grades at international level.

2- Who can apply? (1/2) To be considered eligible, candidates must: be a national of Brazil (call is only open to Brazilian nationals to study in Europe) Short-term undergraduate exchange: 4-7 months exchange eligible for engineering undergraduate students Long undergraduate exchange: 10 months exchange eligible for undergraduate students

3- Who can apply? (2/2) Doctorate Sandwich: 12 months exchange eligible for doctorate students working on topics related to the Programme. Full Doctorate (co-tutelle thesis): months exchange eligible for doctorate students pre-admitted in a co-tutelle/double-degree programme in one of the European Partners. Post-Doc: 10 months exchange eligible for candidates that already holds a PhD degree. They must have obtained their doctorate in the last 2 years. Staff: 1-3 months exchange eligible for Brazilian Staff invited to visit one (or more) European Partners.
