BIOGRAPHY Mariusz Wlazły (born August 4th, 1983 in Wielun) - Polish volleyball player, attacker, member of Poland men’s national volleyball team. He was a member of the Polish junior team, which won the World Junior Championship in 2003. In 2006 he won second place at FIVB Senior World Championships in Japan. One of his first sports was swimming. 2
PRIVATE LIFE His first teacher and coach was Leszek Pałyga. On 17th June 2006 he married Maria Paulina Drewicz (now Wlazły, a former volleyball player of Skra Belchatow). On 13th January 2009 his wife gave birth to their son Arkadiusz. Since the beginning of the 2008/2009 season Wlazły is the captain of Skra Bełchatów. He actively participates in charitable and social events (he cooperate with "Heroes”, "You" and the Dr Clown Foundation, of which he is an ambassador since July 2008. 3

CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES Mariusz Wlazły is one of the best Polish volleyball players and is the significant player of Skra Station and the Poland men’s national volleyball team. Despite the busy schedule and continuous travelling he can find some time for sick children, and is ready to fulfil their deepest dreams. In 2006, Mariusz was an organizer of a charity match for the 6-year old Hubert Olejnik, who underwent surgery to remove the tumor, and the needed money for expensive rehabilitation. The match turned out to be a real „money-magnet”. 6
WLAZŁY as the best player in the championships Season 2006 has confirmed an undisputable position of Mariusz in Poland men’s national volleyball team. In this historic year for Polish volleyball the Poland men’s national volleyball team won the World Championships’ silver medal, and Wlazły has made an enormous conribution to this success. He played in all meetings of the Japanese tournament, and scored the most points for the Eagles. During that tournament he has been nominated to the Most Valuable Player award, losing only to Brazilian star Giba. 7
