Skills Funding Agency context Purpose: To fund skills training for FE in England Size of the task: 1000 providers, £4.3bn Shape of the task: An expert national service tailored to support local needs Customers: Consumers (learners & Employers), LEPs, Government

Business Imperatives Embed reform – executive agency status Supply Chain transformation Qualification reform

1) Apprenticeships & Traineeships Increase number of apprenticeships - especially : 16-24, Highers, SMEs, sectors Support apprenticeship reform More high quality traineeships NAS – employer facing service offer - brand

2) Policy into Practice Design & deliver funding systems Employer routed funding – apprenticeship reform Support increase in 24+ advanced learning loan activity with SLC Supporting & managing intervention – FE Commissioner, structure and prospects appraisals etc
