Case Report בגסטרוסקופיה - גסטריטיס נודולרית עם ארוזיות. HP שלילי.

Case Report 1. Gastric tuberculosis 2. Amyloidosis 3. Collagenous gastritis 4. Sarcoidosis ?

Collagenous Gastritis A rare entity of unknown etiology. Described in children and adults. Defined histologically by the presence of a thickened, focal, subepithelial collagen band with an increase in inflammatory cell infiltration of the lamina propria with entrapment of capillaries. This histologic pattern is similar to that in collagenous colitis.

Collagenous Gastritis Presenting symptoms in children are UGI symptoms - epigastric pain, hematochezia, anemia, in adults - diarrhea. The endoscopic findings in children are more impressive then in adults: erosive gastritis, hemorrhage.

Collagenous Gastritis Therapy according to case reports only: gastric acid suppression, steroids, sulfasalazine ?? Therapy did not have a consistent effect on the thickness of the collagen band, but improvement of the clinical picture was achieved.
