The Alliance for a Healthier Generation, founded in 2005 by the American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation, works to address one of the nation’s leading public health threats – childhood obesity. The goal of the Alliance is to reduce the nationwide prevalence of childhood obesity by 2015, and to empower kids to make healthy lifestyle choices. The Alliance Healthy Schools Program is working with the schools to make positive changes in the school environment. These include offering healthier food and beverages, increasing physical activity during the school day, and providing health education to students. The Alliance Guidelines are an important part of the Healthy Schools Program approach to increase the healthier options available in schools. ABOUT THE ALLIANCE

Our Agreement Magnolia Spice Teas has agreed to endorse the Alliance School Beverage Guidelines because we are committed to addressing the issue of childhood obesity and we are working hard to reformulate and create new products that meet the nutrition standards and contribute toward providing healthier products to students.
