The blues made allot of hits in there days they where so famous back then still know there music is a big hit. Everyone love jazz also the blues they got so famous. They where a family you could not separate. . Blues is very emotional music in which the lyrics talk about sad things but it can also be about good times.  It help slaves work easier because they where singing blues songs while they were picking crops. They sing in groups that how made them work better and faster it also help them take there mind of things. If it wasn't for blues they would be suffering more.
