WEB HOSTING

WHAT IS WEB HOSTING? A web host is a company with several computers that are connected to the internet at all times. The computers they have are named "servers" because they, in essence, 'serve' a web site to a user. These servers are assigned IP addresses so that they may be found by other computers connected to the internet. It is on these servers that the information for web sites are stored and thus displayed when a user types in the associated address. Basically what is happening when a user types a web address into the address bar in their browser, the browser sends out a request to get that web page. The request then travels to the web server via the internet and tries to find the appropriate page. Once the page has been found on the server it will display in your browser. Web hosting servers cost money to set up properly, configure and maintain, therefore web hosts must charge for their usage. Different options are available for signing up with a web hosting company and web hosting has become a highly competitive business. So be careful when choosing a web hosting company as many feature a lot of bells and whistles to entice new customers. HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST WEB HOSTING SERVICE Online businesses should be very careful when choosing a web hosting service as it is crucial to the success of that business.
