Objectives for chapter  To show the importance of computer maintenance computing.  Identify problems that can occur if harware is not properly maintained

Maintenance issues  If you don’t update for computer software and other things such as that you may have some maintenance issues occurring in the future.

Hardware maintenance  Some of the best ways to keeping your computer repair a lower risk is cleaning your computer every 3 to 6 months.

Keyboards  You should clean your keyboards on a regular basis. To get out thing such as dirt, dust, hair, food, etc. to make sure that you keyboard can work with no problems like stuck keys or even just no working anymore.

mouse  To clean 1 st you must take out ball and this will make it allot easier to clean it will also make the mouse not so hard to navigate.

printers  If you clean a computer then it will prolong the printers life.

Computer memory The ram is the storage device in the computer that saves thing into small memory chips. You also have things such as flash drives and floppy disk for long term memory.

Preventative maintenance

Disk defragmentation  A piece of data is in blocks and broken up in to little pieces that’s are not stored together.

Recycle bin  Is a holding office foe files and folders before their final deletion for the storage device.

Temporary files  For printing  To act as a safety net  To free memory for the other programs

Specialized maintenance  Replacing other electrical components  Replacing or adding an additional ram  Replacing the professor

Risk of networked computing  There is always going to be a risk of computing and using websites. For example the computer network is challenged everyday with system failures, computer hackers, and virus attack.
