Below the globe you should see Press So press This arrow is the Enter button. Press Menu button (button on front, middle of right side) Arrow down to Pts of Interest, press Enter Choose My Pts of Interest, press Enter You may see Position at this point. If you do press Enter. Using the Enter key toggle down to POI001 Press the Go To button here (front, lower right) Press the NAV button (front, middle right) You have several navigation tools to use here. The best choice is the compass. Press on the NAV button until the compass appears. The compass will look like this one. – You will see a tiny moon, sun and square box on the compass screen. The square box is the marker you are looking for. –Start walking in the direction indicated on the compass. While walking watch what happens to the speed AND the distance. –If the distance grows you are “cold” or are going too far from the popsicle stick you will retrieve. If the distance shrinks you are getting “hotter” so continue until you get to within a few feet of the markers. The GPS will not take you directly to the markers (these GPSs aren’t super powerful or technical but you will get very close so keep your eyes open!) – You may pick up one marker. Repeat steps 3-7 for PO1002 to retrieve your second marker. Power the GPS down. Press the button on side, upper right. Return to your starting point to show your teacher the markers you and your partner collected.
