GATSBY BONUS!TOTAL of 5 pts. Welcome to your bonus! There are a few ways for you to gain extra points on the upcoming GG test. Remember, this is not mandatory; it is encouraged!

OPTION 1: worth 2 points The block day following The Great Gatsby test, we will be having a ‘Gatsby Party’ (along with sharing our adapted lyrics/projects/and discussing research paper) and you can earn points for dressing up.

Option 2: Worth 3 points There are many ways to visually sell a book; the cover art is intended to create an appeal for the consumer. Your job is to create a new spin on “The Great Gatsby” book cover. Must Include: 1)Title and Author 2)Visual representation (character, color, symbolic references) 3)8 ½ by 11 (minimum) or poster size 4)Art must encompass entire paper. 5)Neat AND creative (especially if hand drawn)

Some guidelines for Option 2 Yes, it can be a digital images. No, it cannot be just some random cover art you googled. I know how to google too. Yes, it can be a collage of images. And yes, it has to make sense.

Option 3: Worth 3 points Play music? Perform? Lip Sync ? Act ridiculous? Great. This bonus is for you! Possible Outcomes: 1)Live performance 2)Music Video How do you get there…

What you need for Option 3 Your adapted lyrics with the guidelines -Two quotes or specific references from the book -Specific language from the book -Creativity -Character name -Specific subject and speaker A PRINTED copy of your new lyrics, as well as the ENTIRE song adapted to fit your needs. A way of performing your new song! Must be a 1:30 long to 2 minutes long. No longer please!

So, how many point can you earn? …ONLY up to FIVE. You can combine the costumes with Option 2 or 3 to obtain the entire 5 points.
