For more information or to attend any of the following events please call Dec Sponsorship Training 9:00 am – 10:30 am Are you a first time sponsor or haven’t sponsored anyone in over a year? Then come over for your mandatory sponsorship training. We’ll help you be the best sponsor you can be. 2 Dec Readiness & Taxes 9:00 am – 10:00 am and 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm New class which targets financial readiness for deployments (bill paying, Savings Deposit Program, budget concerns, etc). Find out how to file your taxes and what A&FRC support programs are available to you. 4 Dec Finances for Single Parents 8:00 am – 9:00 am Class includes helping agencies; budgeting issues (W-4 federal tax withholding, W-5 Advance Earned Income Credit; daycare costs); debt ratio; saving for children’s college; deployment readiness issues; and more… 9-11 Dec 3-Day Transition Assistance Program 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Retiring? Separating? Talk to the experts on what’s available to veterans. Job search, resumes, educational benefits. Attend our exciting three day class. and reap the benefits. 11 Dec Disability Transition Assistance Program 8:30 am – 11:30 am Do you qualify for VA Disability benefits? Being medically retired? Look at what options are available to you. The Veterans Administration will explain benefits and how to apply for them. If you are staying in the area bring a copy of your medical records to submit to the VA. Members relocating can bring a copy of their medical records for review. This class is being held at building 812, Customer College Training Center in the west area. 16 Dec Basic Investments 8:00 am – 11:00 am Learn about the Military Thrift Savings Plan, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), mutual funds and retirement planning.

The Spouse Deployment Discussion is open to anyone who has a spouse deployed or returned from a deployment. Meetings are the 2 nd Tuesday of every month, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm at the A&FRC. Check out Family Services for any items you may need. We have general kitchen items as well as portable sleeping arrangements for your guests.
