1. Choose to be positive Brings us to the first of the Big 5 Learned Habit Driving - tough at first but then unconscious mind takes over (can't remember how you got there scenario) Does anyone talk to themselves Conscious and un (sub) conscsious mind Conscious mind is that voice in your head – what you are thinking of right now – that’s its only job Influences your unconscious mind (childlike) – need to talk to your self well – often when we talk to ourselves it’s negative – trained our minds to survive Basics - Tell yourself – You are the best dresser, the best teeth cleaner – the best walker down a set of stairs etc (keep on the inside) Even go to bed with your partner (or bit on the side) and ask each other what 3 great things happened to you today……don’t fall for the I’ve only got 2 but you could make the 3rd one right now! choosing to be positive - can do the same of the unconcious mind - 14 days Just here to get the theory - if you do you have a chance 9

2. Take personal responsibility
Life’s a sausage machine… (think about what you put in, to get what you want out)
So....what could go in your sausage machine to help you be you at your best?
Smiling more Patience Finding the positive Resilience Having more fun
3. Random Acts of Kindness
Let’s watch a video on YouTube showing Random Acts of Kindness
4.Understand your impact
Let’s watch the video...
Let happiness leak out
the 4-minute rule...
5. Resilience (Bouncebackability)
The bin bag splits and the contents fall all over the floor. You put diesel in the car when it takes petrol. You have a bump in your car. A project goes wrong at work. The dish washer breaks. Your football team lose a match.
6. Play to your strengths
What are you good at?
“People aren’t interested in your weaknesses and you certainly shouldn’t be” Richard Branson
7. HUGGs (Huge Unbelievably Great Goals) Smart Objectives They are efficient, but I bet most of the inspiring things that have happened in life haven’t come from someone sitting down and spending 3 hours developin a SMART way of doing it What is my Hugg To inspire hundreds of thousands of children across the world to be the best they can be Set targets along the way – but if you don’t quite make it – you will have got a lot closer than you have any chance of now So for me if I manage to inspire 1000 children in the midlands, then I achieved something I would never have thought of Maybe you want to own a caribean island – well in 20 years maybe you find yourself buying ahouse in the caribean – you might not get the island, but you got a lot closer than not trying!
huge goal HUGG BHAG nearly there half way next step do now, form habits
How to be brilliant Choose to be positive Take personal responsibility (think : sausage machine) Do random acts of kindness Understand your impact (remember the 4 minute rule) Have resilience Play to your strengths Set some HUGGs (huge goals)
So, let’s have a recap!
So....what’s going in your sausage machine tonight?
