Culture Culture is different in all different places. Some things that are different are that here we have different time zones, toys, homes, languages, and clothing. Holidays are also different. Nothing is exactly the same.

Mexico Mexico is in the continent of North America. In Mexico they speak Spanish.

Mexico Facts In Mexico there are many outdoor markets. In Mexico most young men travel by mopeds. Mexico was first inhabited by Native Americans

Cinco de Mayo Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in Mexico. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated by Mexicans.

Why do people celebrated this holiday? They had an important battle in which Mexican forces defeated France. It was called the battle of Puebla. This holiday celebrates this Mexican battle and win!

When does this holiday take place? On the fifth of May.

What are some traditions of this holiday? In Mexico, on Cinco de Mayo they reenact the famous battle.The girls dance on Cinco de Mayo. They have many foods that we have here to eat. It is a very colorful holiday. It’s like a big party.

Are there special decorations for this holiday?What are they? They make colorful flowers.They make flowerpots. Also they make fans. They hang and wave the Mexican flag.

Are there special foods eaten for this holiday? What are they? They eat guacamole. They eat nachos. They eat tacos and burritos.

Is there special clothing for this holiday?What is it? Some people dress like the people who did the battle. Some of the girls dress in some colorful dresses.

Would you want to celebrate this holiday? I do because my birthday is on Cinco de Mayo. My brother likes Cinco de Mayo too. On my birthday, I have some things that I do the same as Cinco de Mayo, like eat tacos. We also paint.
