WOMEN ARTISTS IN THE PAST After an intense websearch, we have found scarce examples of women artists throughout the centuries. The main reason for this is that arts was a field, like that of literature, in which womens' works were not focused on. Most of these women artists were encouraged to follow this path by their parents, most of them are daughters of well- known artists in their times.
