Keep the Blue Whale in the Big Blue!

The scientific name for the Blue Whale is Balaenoptera musculus.

Description of the habitat The habitat for the blue whale is almost every ocean on earth. The lowest number of blue whales is in the North Atlantic Ocean, but most live in the southern hemisphere.

Interesting facts about the Blue Whale : It is the largest mammal on earth. It eats plankton and krill, fish that are a lot smaller than itself. Its swimming speed can reach 30 km/h.

Why is the Blue Whale endangered? People hunt it for blubber. People are polluting its habitat. Climate change affects its habitat and food resources.

Why it is important to save the Blue Whale? It is the largest mammal on our planet. It keeps the plankton and krill population balanced. It is not a threat to humans.

Solutions to help the Blue Whale survive. Stop polluting the oceans. Stop ALL whaling.
