Rosa Parks  Started the boycott  Law said no interracial seating on buses

Bus Boycott  Dec. 4, 1955  MIA meets with bus company and city officials  “private taxi” – blacks with cars gave rides to other blacks.  Whites turn to violence  King’s house bombed

Continued….  Dec 2, 1956 ends  Supreme Court ruled segregation on buses was unconstitutional.

Obstacles  White violence  Arrested 20 times  Assaulted 4 times  Fighting against old fashion beliefs
