 An activity that is important for our lives.  Many points of view: A duty – if we have to. Nowadays – a modern kind of leisure activity. An addiction – shopaholism (oniomania). WHAT IS SHOPPING?

 Supermarkets or hypermarkets – often very large, offer large amount of goods, usually cheaper and longer opening hours.  Small local shops – closer to our home, getting things quickly, unique atmosphere and more willing shopassisstents.  Markets – fresh and organic food.  Department stores – all kind of goods. WHERE TO SHOP?

 Supermarkets or hypermarkets - Albert, Billa, …  Small local shops – bakery, butcher‘s, sweet shop, greengrocer, florists, stationery, bookshop…  Department stores – Bloomingdales in New York (exclusive), Wal-Mart, Tesco,… WHERE TO SHOP? EXAMPLES

 In cash – we have to carry all money with us and look for the exact amount of money, we don‘t spend more than we want.  Credit card – quite risky, makes people spend more, relatively fast, via internet banking we can see easily how much money we have spent recently.  Traveller‘s cheque PAYING

 Rather spendthrift than some kind of miser (trying to save money without success)  Usually clothes, shoes, cosmetics, food and at the hairdresser‘s  I still get pocketmoney.  An impulsive shoper – when I like it I want it. (If I can afford it)  I hate shopping for food – boring and annoying (except for shopping in Bazalka – fine and healthy food, no queues)  My favourite clothes shops – Paradis Fashion (in HK), H&M, Intimissimi, Calzedonia, Tezenis, Zara, Mango,… → Prague is better ME AND SHOPPING
