Prospects on JAXA/NICT Participation Space-to-Space scenario (e.g.,LEO-GEO) Space-to-Space scenario study group hopes to contribute. Our prospect is from 2016 and on. Wavelength: to be yet decided Modulation/Demodulation: compatible to BPSK homodyne and DD-DPSK Planned Schedule: research of key components 2012–2014 Development or System BBM in (TBD)
Prospects on JAXA/NICT Participation Space-to-Earth scenario(e.g., Deep space-Earth) Space-to-Earth scenario study group a strong interest in Deep space or space science mission and hopes to contribute. Our prospect is from 2015 or 2016 according to their research status. Wavelength: 1.5μm band (TBD) Modulation/Demodulation, and so on: Under study This group has one of concern that the selection of technologies in Asia region like Japan would not be exactly same as those in other regions, because of diffrent weather conditions and some different operation required.

Prospects on JAXA/NICT Participation The comment for Charter draft Regarding the traded-off between the projects originally proposed in OLSG (2 Green Books and 2 Blue Books) and alternative projects (2 Green Books and 3 Blue Books), we consider that it is better to proceed with the original projects in the phase of book development because it is easy to discuss for every scenario. In the phase of application of Blue or Green Books, it is better to keep the form proposed in the alternative projects because it is convenient when selecting technologies in each Book depending on each layers. Assuming future re-editing of the original projects into the form proposed in alternative projects, we consider proceeding with the original projects is favorable.
